Version History
## b0tresch-stealth-browser 1.1.0 - Updated dependencies in package.json. - No user-facing or functional changes in this release.
What This Skill Does
Headless browser automation using puppeteer-extra with stealth plugin to evade bot detection fingerprinting. Routes traffic through Smartproxy residential IPs when datacenter addresses are blocked. Outputs HTML, plain text, or screenshots from sites that reject standard automated requests.
Combining stealth fingerprint evasion with residential proxy routing handles both signature-based and IP-based detection that plain headless browsers or HTTP clients cannot bypass.
When to use it
- Scraping Reddit threads that block datacenter IPs
- Taking screenshots of Cloudflare-protected pages
- Monitoring Twitter/X profiles from automated pipelines
- Accessing signup flows that detect headless browsers
- Extracting text from bot-protected content sites
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Get the HTML content of a Reddit page that blocks datacenter IPs
- 1Loads proxy credentials from ~/.config/smartproxy/proxy.json
- 2Launches puppeteer-extra with stealth plugin applied
- 3Routes the request through a US residential IP via Smartproxy
- 4Navigates to the Reddit URL and waits for full page load
- 5Extracts and returns the full HTML content
Raw HTML of the Reddit page printed to stdout or saved to a file
