Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Shell-level automation agent that executes approved scripts, manages backups, and fetches secrets from Bitwarden at runtime. Every command passes through an approval gate before running. Output is logged to dated markdown files in the workspace.
The approval gate blocks unintended or unauthorized execution that plain cron jobs or unguarded shell scripts would allow through.
When to use it
- Running a database backup script with manual approval before execution
- Fetching API credentials from Bitwarden before a deploy
- Auditing which scripts ran on a given day via daily log files
- Managing long-running background processes like incremental backups
- Safely executing maintenance scripts without storing secrets in plain text
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Run the nightly database backup script
- 1Receives script execution request
- 2Calls bws secret get to retrieve required environment variables at runtime
- 3Queues the command and waits for user to type /approve
- 4Executes the backup script in the designated workspace directory
- 5Logs command output to memory/YYYY-MM-DD.md
Backup completes successfully; result recorded in the daily log file
