What This Skill Does
BlackSwan provides two crypto market risk assessments via API. Flare analyzes a 15-minute signal window to detect immediate precursors before events unfold. Core synthesizes a 60-minute window to describe the broader market environment as conditions develop.
Two complementary time windows (15-min and 60-min) let you distinguish between immediate precursor signals and broader systemic stress, which single-timeframe monitors cannot separate.
When to use it
- Checking for sudden crypto market moves before placing a trade
- Getting a full risk briefing before entering a large position
- Automating overnight crypto risk monitoring without manual watching
- Validating market calm before executing a DeFi transaction
- Integrating real-time risk levels into a trading or alerting dashboard
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Is the crypto market safe to trade right now?
- 1Call /api/flare to retrieve the latest 15-minute precursor assessment
- 2Check the status and severity fields for immediate risk signals
- 3Call /api/core to retrieve the 60-minute environment synthesis
- 4Read the environment level and key_factors array
- 5Combine both results into a unified risk summary for the user
Flare returns status 'clear' with severity 'none'; Core returns environment 'elevated' with liquidity stress in key_factors, indicating calm short-term signals but above-normal systemic risk
