What This Skill Does
Configures email forwarding for custom domains so messages sent to domain addresses reach an accessible inbox. Covers GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare Email Routing, and ImprovMX. Useful when email hosting is inactive but an account requires verification at that domain address.
Avoids paying for Google Workspace or dedicated email hosting when the only need is receiving occasional emails at a custom domain.
When to use it
- Recovering an account that sends reset codes to an inactive domain email
- Forwarding all domain email to Gmail without paying for email hosting
- Setting up a catch-all address to capture any email sent to a domain
- Temporarily enabling a parked domain to receive a one-time verification code
- Routing email from multiple domain aliases to a single inbox
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: I need to recover my account but the verification code gets sent to user@olddomain.com and I don't have email hosting set up for that domain
- 1Identify which registrar or DNS provider manages olddomain.com
- 2Navigate to the email forwarding settings for that registrar
- 3Create a forwarding rule from user@olddomain.com to the user's active Gmail address
- 4Send a test email to user@olddomain.com and confirm delivery at Gmail
- 5Trigger account recovery so the verification code routes to Gmail
Verification code arrives at Gmail, account recovery completes, user updates the account's stored email to their primary address
