Setup & Installation

openclaw skills install @brennerspear/domain-check

Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:

npx clawhub install domain-check

What This Skill Does

Checks domain availability and pricing across common TLDs using the Vercel Registrar API. Handles purchasing, listing, and managing domains through Vercel CLI commands.

Keeps availability checks and domain management in the same tool as your deployment setup, so you don't need a separate registrar dashboard.

When to use it

  • Checking if a project name is available as a .com, .io, or .dev domain
  • Comparing per-year costs across TLDs before committing to a purchase
  • Buying a domain from the terminal without opening a registrar UI
  • Listing all domains tied to a Vercel account
  • Attaching a purchased domain to an existing Vercel project

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: check if 'myapp' is available and what it would cost

AGENT
  1. 1Runs domain-check for 'myapp' across default TLDs
  2. 2Queries the Vercel Registrar API for each TLD
  3. 3Checks purchasePrice field — null means taken, a number means available
  4. 4Formats results into a table with status, buy price, and renewal price per year
OUTPUT

A table showing availability and pricing for myapp.com, myapp.io, myapp.dev, and other TLDs from Vercel Registrar
