What This Skill Does
Generates an hour-by-hour daily plan by matching your top 3 priorities to circadian energy windows and applying GTD principles. Uses a fixed decision framework across three modes: standard, deep work, and coordination. Includes an evening check-in template to track completion and adjust future plans.
Applies the same scheduling logic every day, so plans are consistent and comparable over time rather than regenerated from scratch each session.
When to use it
- Protecting a 9-11am deep work block from meeting creep
- Planning a product launch week with demos and team coordination
- Scheduling around a meeting-heavy day as a manager or director
- Building a daily shutdown ritual with evening reflection and completion tracking
- Adjusting energy windows for early-morning or late-night work patterns
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: /plan-my-day
- 1Checks existing calendar commitments and yesterday's incomplete tasks
- 2Prompts user to identify top 3 priorities scored by impact and urgency
- 3Assigns Priority 1 to the morning peak energy window (9-11am by default)
- 4Places remaining priorities in secondary peak and focused work blocks, reserving 20% buffer time
- 5Generates a markdown schedule with labeled time blocks, break reminders, and an evening check-in template
A full-day plan with time blocks, measurable priority outcomes, break schedules, and a completion checklist for the 5:30pm evening review
