npx clawhub install unicon

What This Skill Does

Unicon is a CLI that searches and generates icons from 19,000+ icons across 9 libraries including Lucide, Phosphor, Tabler, and Simple Icons. It outputs framework-specific components for React, Vue, and Svelte, generating only the icons you actually use rather than bundling entire libraries.

Instead of installing and shipping entire icon packages like lucide-react or phosphor-react, Unicon generates only the components you need with zero external icon dependencies.

When to use it

  • Finding the right icon across multiple libraries with a single search
  • Adding icons to a React project without installing per-library npm packages
  • Generating tree-shakeable icon components for production builds
  • Bundling a curated set of brand logos from Simple Icons for a marketing site
  • Auditing an existing project to find unused or missing icon imports

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Add navigation icons to my React project

AGENT
  1. 1Run `unicon init --interactive` to create .uniconrc.json with project settings
  2. 2Run `unicon search 'arrow chevron menu' --pick` to interactively select icons
  3. 3Run `unicon add nav --query 'arrow chevron menu'` to register a named bundle
  4. 4Run `unicon sync` to generate tree-shakeable React components
  5. 5Import with `import { ArrowRight, Menu } from './src/icons/nav'`
OUTPUT

Individual .tsx files for each selected icon in src/icons/nav/, ready to import with no external dependencies
