What This Skill Does
A Python toolkit for scraping and interacting with XiaoHongShu (Little Red Book), a Chinese social media platform. All encryption parameters, including request signatures and cookies, are generated automatically in pure Python. Supports both guest mode and authenticated sessions via a web_session cookie.
All XiaoHongShu encryption and anti-bot signatures are handled in pure Python, so no JavaScript runtime or browser automation is needed.
When to use it
- Scraping keyword search results for market research
- Extracting comments from trending beauty or lifestyle posts
- Monitoring user profile stats for influencer analysis
- Collecting home feed content by category for trend tracking
- Automating follows and likes for engagement campaigns
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: search for makeup tutorial notes and list their titles and authors
- 1Creates a session with create_xhs_session(proxy=None, web_session=None)
- 2Calls xhs_session.apis.note.search_notes('美妆教程')
- 3Awaits and parses the JSON response
- 4Iterates over data['data']['items'] to extract display_title and user nickname
- 5Closes the session with xhs_session.close_session()
A printed list of note titles and author nicknames from the search results
