Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
SkillStore is a CLI tool for managing OpenClaw skills. It searches a built-in catalog of 20 skills, locally installed skills, and GitHub repositories using Jaccard similarity scoring. Users can install skills from search results or generate new skill scaffolding from templates.
Searching three sources simultaneously with relevance scoring removes the need to manually browse GitHub repos or remember exact skill names.
When to use it
- Finding an existing skill by typing a plain-language keyword
- Installing a GitHub-hosted skill without manual cloning
- Listing all currently installed OpenClaw skills
- Scaffolding a new skill project from built-in templates
- Browsing the built-in catalog of known skills
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: find a skill for smart home control
- 1Runs `skillstore home assistant`
- 2Tokenizes the query and calculates Jaccard similarity for each candidate
- 3Searches the known skills database, local skills, and GitHub repositories
- 4Filters out results below the 30% threshold and ranks the rest by score
- 5Displays ranked results with score bars and prompts the user to install or create
User enters a result number and the selected skill is installed from GitHub
