npx clawhub install clarity-research

What This Skill Does

Queries protein folding research data from Clarity Protocol, a community-driven database of protein mutation analyses run through AlphaFold2 via ColabFold. Returns variants filtered by disease or protein name, with confidence scores, UniProt identifiers, and fold IDs.

Directly queries a curated protein folding database with AlphaFold2 results, avoiding manual searches across UniProt or scattered literature.

When to use it

  • Finding all folded mutations associated with Alzheimer's disease
  • Looking up known variants for a specific protein like MAPT or APP
  • Checking AlphaFold confidence scores for a particular mutation
  • Retrieving fold IDs to pass into downstream analysis workflows
  • Surveying available research data before starting a protein study

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: What variants are available for the MAPT protein?

AGENT
  1. 1Runs query_variants.py with --protein-name MAPT
  2. 2Paginates through results using next_cursor until exhausted
  3. 3Extracts variant notation, disease association, and average_confidence for each result
  4. 4Returns a structured list with fold IDs and confidence scores
OUTPUT

A list of MAPT variants including mutation notation (e.g., P301L), associated disease, UniProt ID, AlphaFold confidence score, and fold ID
