What This Skill Does

Generates QR codes from URLs, plain text, WiFi credentials, or vCard contact data. Outputs PNG, SVG, or ASCII art via a bundled Python script. No external accounts or API keys needed.

The script auto-installs its only dependency on first run, so there is no setup step before generating a code.

When to use it

  • Share a link as a printable QR code
  • Let guests scan to join a WiFi network
  • Encode a contact card for a business card
  • Preview a QR code in the terminal before saving
  • Export a scalable SVG QR code for web or print

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Generate a QR code for my guest WiFi network called 'CafeGuest' with password 'coffee123'

AGENT
  1. 1Identifies the request as a WiFi QR code
  2. 2Runs the script with --wifi-ssid 'CafeGuest' and --wifi-pass 'coffee123'
  3. 3Script auto-installs qrcode[pil] if not present
  4. 4Outputs wifi.png to the working directory
OUTPUT

wifi.png, a QR code phones can scan to auto-join the network
