Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Downloads files from a Tailscale Taildrop inbox to local storage on Linux. Tailscale on Linux does not auto-save received files, so this script fills that gap by manually retrieving and placing them in a target directory.
Linux lacks the automatic Taildrop file saving that macOS and Windows provide, so this script replicates that behavior without requiring sudo on every run.
When to use it
- Retrieving a photo sent from a phone via Taildrop
- Pulling a config file sent from a remote machine
- Auto-receiving files as they arrive using loop mode
- Downloading files to a custom directory instead of Downloads
- Clearing the Taildrop inbox after files accumulate
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

- 2Detect pending files in the inbox
- 3Download each file to ~/Downloads/
- 4Skip any files that already exist locally
- 5Report the list of downloaded files
