What This Skill Does

An MCP server that gives AI agents access to a structured knowledge base of book summaries. Agents can search, retrieve, and publish summaries using tools for full-text and semantic search across categories like business, psychology, and productivity.

Agents get structured, token-efficient book knowledge without scraping or hallucinating summaries from training data.

When to use it

  • Ask an agent to recommend books on a topic before starting a project
  • Pull key frameworks from a book to apply to a current problem
  • Search for books about decision-making during a strategy session
  • Add missing books to the backlog for future summary generation
  • Retrieve only the quotes section of a book to find a specific reference

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: What frameworks does 'The Lean Startup' offer for validating ideas?

AGENT
  1. 1Call search_books with query 'The Lean Startup' to confirm the book exists
  2. 2Call get_book_section with slug 'the-lean-startup' and section 'frameworks'
  3. 3Parse the returned structured section
  4. 4Present the frameworks to the user with brief explanations
OUTPUT

A list of validated frameworks from The Lean Startup, such as build-measure-learn and MVP, drawn directly from the structured summary
