What This Skill Does
A weekly cron-based assistant that builds and maintains a local directory of the user's family and close contacts. It sweeps care domains, checks upcoming birthdays and events, and sends brief actionable nudges. Designed to carry the mental load of relationship maintenance rather than add to it.
It stores all relationship context locally and surfaces it proactively on a schedule, replacing scattered calendar reminders and the effort of keeping a mental list.
When to use it
- Getting a heads-up two weeks before a parent's milestone birthday
- Noticing a close friend has gone quiet and being prompted to reach out
- Planning a long weekend trip around local school holidays
- Tracking a family member's recovery after surgery without forgetting to follow up
- Prompting a gift idea or dinner reservation ahead of a partner's anniversary
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Run my weekly care check-in
- 1Reads memory/people/index.md to load the full people list
- 2Scans upcoming dates in the next 2-4 weeks for birthdays, anniversaries, and known events
- 3Selects 2-3 care domains to sweep this week, prioritising time-sensitive items
- 4Checks the holidays and leave calendar for upcoming long weekends or school holidays
- 5Composes a 5-10 bullet care nudge and delivers it to the user
A short, warm message: 'Jake's school concert is Friday — worth confirming you can go. Mum's hip appointment was last week — might be a good week for a call. Easter long weekend is in 3 weeks — you mentioned wanting to visit your parents.'
