Version History
- Corrected all bash and curl examples to use https://www.openlesson.academy for API calls and the OPENLESSON_API_KEY environment variable for authentication. - Removed references to localhost URLs and hardcoded API keys from command patterns. - No technical or functional changes to endpoints or workflow. Documentation and usage instructions improved for accuracy and security.
What This Skill Does
openLesson is an audio-based tutoring platform that teaches through Socratic questioning rather than direct answers. Agents can generate structured learning plans as directed graphs, start sessions tied to specific nodes, and submit audio recordings for analysis of reasoning gaps and follow-up questions.
The directed-graph plan structure lets agents sequence sessions adaptively, and audio-only analysis pushes users to articulate understanding rather than passively read.
When to use it
- Building a personalized study plan for a technical topic over 30 days
- Analyzing a student's spoken explanation for conceptual gaps
- Automating Socratic tutoring sessions within a larger learning agent
- Tracking mastery progress across a directed sequence of learning nodes
- Scheduling session reminders based on a generated learning plan
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Create a 14-day learning plan for quantum computing and start the first session
- 1Call POST /api/agent/plan with topic 'Quantum Computing' and days 14 to get a directed graph of sessions
- 2Identify the node with is_start: true from the returned nodes array
- 3Call POST /api/agent/session/start with the start node's id and title as the problem
- 4Record user's spoken response, encode audio to base64 in webm format
- 5Call POST /api/agent/session/analyze with session_id and audio_base64, then return the gap score and follow-up question to the user
Session analysis with gap score, reasoning signals, and a Socratic follow-up question for the user to answer
