What This Skill Does
Fetches LinkedIn profile, company, and job data via the LinkdAPI Python SDK. Uses the uv script pattern to run ephemeral Python scripts with inline dependencies, requiring no global installs. Supports both sync and async clients for single lookups or batch enrichment.
The uv script pattern means no virtual environment setup or dependency management — write the script, run it, done.
When to use it
- Look up a LinkedIn profile before a sales call
- Enrich a list of contacts with current job titles and companies
- Search job postings by keyword and location
- Pull company employee count and industry data
- Batch-fetch profiles for multiple executives in parallel
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: 'Get the LinkedIn profile for jeffweiner08'
- 1Write a temporary Python script to /tmp with the uv script header and linkdapi dependency
- 2Import LinkdAPI and read the API key from LINKDAPI_API_KEY environment variable
- 3Call client.get_profile_overview('jeffweiner08')
- 4Print name, headline, location, and current company from the response
- 5Run the script with uv run, then delete the temp file
Name, headline, location, and company for the requested LinkedIn profile
