What This Skill Does
An interactive wizard that walks a decision through the STREAM 6-layer framework: Epistemological, Temporal, Action, Stakes, Social, and Meta. Each layer asks a targeted clarifying question, scores the decision 1-10, and produces a GO/PAUSE/NO-GO verdict with recommended next actions. Optionally saves the decision record to a local project directory.
Replaces informal pros/cons lists with a structured multi-dimensional framework that forces explicit scoring and surfaces hidden assumptions.
When to use it
- Deciding whether to pivot a startup product
- Evaluating a co-founder offer before committing
- Choosing between two funding paths
- Assessing whether to shut down a failing project
- Working through a high-cost hiring decision
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Should I raise a seed round now or stay bootstrapped?
- 1Parse the decision from the user's input
- 2Ask clarifying questions for each of the 6 STREAM layers in sequence
- 3Score each layer 1-10 based on user responses
- 4Compute weighted average and assign GO/PAUSE/NO-GO verdict
- 5Offer to save the decision record to docs/decisions/
A scored decision journal with per-layer findings, an overall STREAM score, a clear recommendation, and 3 next actions
