What This Skill Does
Generates AI music using the ACE-Step 1.5 model via ACE Music's free hosted API. Supports text prompts, custom lyrics, instrumental tracks, covers of existing songs, and section repainting. Parameters include BPM, key, language, duration, and batch output.
The API is free with no usage cost, which removes the barrier of paid music generation services.
When to use it
- Generate a lo-fi instrumental playlist for a study session
- Create a custom jingle with specific lyrics for a project
- Produce multiple beat variations to pick from
- Generate a non-English song with Japanese or Korean vocals
- Make a cover version of an existing audio track
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: create a 60-second lo-fi hip hop instrumental for background music
- 1Check ACE_MUSIC_API_KEY is set, prompt user to sign up at acemusic.ai if not
- 2Run scripts/generate.sh with style prompt 'lo-fi hip hop beats, chill, rainy day'
- 3Pass --instrumental flag to suppress vocals
- 4Set --duration 60 and --output lofi.mp3
- 5Return the generated file path to the user
lofi.mp3 saved locally, path returned to user
