What This Skill Does

A productivity framework that organizes work into 13-day cycles, each day assigned a named tone with a specific focus area. The system divides each sprint into an achievement phase (tones 1-10) and a reflection phase (tones 11-13). It works for both solo projects and team workflows.

The 13-day cycle breaks the weekly repetition pattern that makes traditional 2-week sprints feel monotonous, while still providing structured daily focus without requiring a fixed day-of-week commitment.

When to use it

  • Planning a software release across a 13-day window
  • Scheduling team standup themes by current tone
  • Setting a writing or creative project goal on Tone 1
  • Running a retrospective on Tone 13 before starting fresh
  • Aligning stakeholder demos with Tone 10 release days

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: What should I focus on today?

AGENT
  1. 1Look up today's date in the 2026 calendar table
  2. 2Identify the current sprint number and tone number
  3. 3Retrieve the tone name, essence, and recommended action
  4. 4Generate context-aware guidance based on where the user is in the sprint cycle (beginning, middle, or end)
  5. 5Offer a follow-up prompt appropriate to the tone
OUTPUT

Today is March 13, 2026 - Electric (Tone 3). Focus: Activation. Action: Take the first action on the project. You're early in Sprint 6, which means now is the time to move from planning into motion. Even a small first step counts. What's one concrete thing you can do today to get started?
