Version History

v0.2.3Feb 11, 2026 - Version note by skill developer:

- Updated agent procedure to clarify that the script output will print a path (file or folder) at the end, replacing previous instructions to look for "Saved to:". - Minor language fixes in documentation (e.g., "a optional cookie file" changed to "A optional cookies file", clarified output instructions). - No changes to code logic or features; documentation only.

What This Skill Does

Downloads video and music from URLs (YouTube, Bilibili, X, and others) into appropriate local folders. Videos go to ~/Movies or ~/Videos, music to ~/Music, and playlists into named subdirectories. Works with local media servers for LAN playback on TVs and devices.

Handles media type detection and folder routing automatically, so you never have to choose a destination or run yt-dlp commands manually.

When to use it

  • Downloading a YouTube playlist to ~/Music
  • Saving a Bilibili video to watch offline
  • Pulling a track from X to your local music library
  • Feeding a media server with downloaded content for TV playback
  • Archiving a podcast or music album into organized folders
