What This Skill Does

A Python script that generates structured daily briefings covering morning motivation, top priorities, habit tracking, self-care reminders, and evening reflection prompts. Outputs to the terminal or saves as JSON. Uses only the Python standard library with no external dependencies.

No API keys, accounts, or external packages are required, so it works immediately after cloning.

When to use it

  • Starting the workday with a prioritized task list
  • Running an automated 7 AM briefing via cron
  • Tracking recurring habits like hydration and learning time
  • Reviewing the day with structured reflection questions before bed
  • Exporting daily briefing data to JSON for downstream automation

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Generate my daily briefing for Columbus

AGENT
  1. 1Runs daily_briefing.py with --location Columbus --summary
  2. 2Reads the current date and weekday
  3. 3Builds five sections: morning motivation, top 3 priorities, habit checklist, self-care reminder, evening reflection
  4. 4Prints the formatted briefing to the terminal
OUTPUT

A readable daily briefing showing the date, three blank priority slots, a habit checklist with checkboxes, hydration and break reminders, and four evening reflection prompts
