What This Skill Does
Tracks the dividend premium for the CSI Dividend Low Volatility Index (H30269) by pulling dividend yield data from China Securities Index and 10-year bond yield from China's Ministry of Finance. Calculates the spread between the two and flags threshold breaches via Telegram alerts. Outputs Excel reports with charts for historical review.
Automates what would otherwise require manually downloading two separate government data sources and computing the spread each day.
When to use it
- Checking if CSI dividend stocks are cheap relative to bonds
- Getting alerted when bond yields rise three days in a row
- Backfilling historical premium data for a past date range
- Generating an Excel chart of dividend premium trends
- Monitoring the 1% premium threshold for entry signals
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: what is today's dividend premium and any alerts?
- 1Run update_dividend_premium.py --update to fetch latest dividend yield and bond yield
- 2Calculate premium as dividend yield minus bond yield
- 3Check monitor_dividend_premium.py --check against alert thresholds
- 4Send Telegram alert if bond yield rose 3 consecutive days or premium dropped below 1%
- 5Output updated Excel report with new data point appended
Premium value for today displayed, alerts fired if thresholds breached, Excel report updated
