Setup & Installation

openclaw skills install @gyliiiiii/soul-pack

Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:

npx clawhub install soul-pack

What This Skill Does

Packages and transfers OpenClaw agent personas (SOUL.md, preview.md, manifest.json) as portable tarballs. Supports exporting from an existing workspace, importing into a new or existing agent, and listing available packages locally.

Bundling persona files into a validated, versioned tarball makes agent personas portable and reproducible without manual file copying.

When to use it

  • Sharing a tuned agent persona with a teammate
  • Backing up a configured agent before making changes
  • Spinning up a new agent from a known-good persona
  • Listing all local soul packages before publishing to a marketplace
  • Importing a community soul package into your own workspace

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: package my edith agent and set it up in a new workspace

AGENT
  1. 1Run export-soul.sh pointing at the source workspace and output directory with the desired package name
  2. 2Confirm manifest.json validates against schema/manifest.schema.v0.1.json
  3. 3Run import-soul.sh with the generated tarball, target agent name, and destination workspace path
  4. 4Verify agent is registered via openclaw agents add or reuses an existing agent id
OUTPUT

edith-soul.tar.gz created and installed into the target workspace as a ready-to-run agent
