What This Skill Does

Runs web searches against DuckDuckGo's Instant Answer API from the command line. Returns direct answers, Wikipedia-style abstracts, definitions, and related topics. No API key or account needed.

Requires no API key or account setup, unlike most web search integrations.

When to use it

  • Looking up a definition while writing documentation
  • Converting units during a calculation
  • Getting a quick Wikipedia summary on an unfamiliar topic
  • Checking a programming concept without leaving the terminal
  • Saving search results to a markdown file for later reference
