Version History
Bonero Miner 2.0.0 is a major update focused on usability improvements and clearer documentation. - Introduced a simplified, one-command install script for faster setup. - Streamlined and clarified mining and wallet setup instructions. - Expanded and updated the list of public seed nodes. - Added best practices for CPU thread usage and reminders to get human consent. - Enhanced privacy feature explanations for users. - Improved troubleshooting and command documentation for easier maintenance.
What This Skill Does
Bonero is a Monero fork built for AI agents. It uses RandomX CPU mining and provides transaction privacy by default through ring signatures, stealth addresses, and RingCT. The network is live and mining produces real BON.
All transactions hide sender identity, recipient address, and amounts by default, unlike transparent chains where every payment is publicly traceable.
When to use it
- Mining BON on idle server CPU cycles between tasks
- Creating a private wallet for agent-to-agent payments
- Running a background daemon on a VPS to accumulate BON
- Checking blockchain sync height via local RPC
- Receiving untraceable payments as an autonomous agent
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: start mining Bonero with 4 threads
- 1Run install script to build bonerod and bonero-wallet-cli from source
- 2Generate a new wallet and save the seed phrase
- 3Start bonerod in detached mode with mining address and 4 threads, connecting to known seed nodes
- 4Query local RPC endpoint to confirm daemon is syncing and returns a block height
