What This Skill Does
Controls the IMA (ima.copilot) desktop application to run AI-powered searches against both public web sources and a private knowledge base. Queries can be routed to personal stored knowledge using a prefix tag and a configured knowledge ID.
Combines public AI search and private document retrieval in one tool call without manually switching to the IMA desktop UI.
When to use it
- Searching personal notes or documents stored in IMA
- Running AI web searches without leaving the terminal
- Querying a private knowledge base by knowledge ID
- Automating IMA searches and closing the app afterward
- Retrieving project-specific context from a local knowledge store
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: 'Find my notes on the Q4 project update'
- 1Reads config from ~/.clawd_ima_config.json to get knowledge_id
- 2Prepends @knowledge to the query string
- 3Calls ima_search with query='@knowledge Q4 project update'
- 4IMA opens, searches the private knowledge base, returns results
- 5Closes IMA if autoclose is set to true
Relevant excerpts from the user's private knowledge base matching 'Q4 project update'
