What This Skill Does
Evolution API v2.3 is a self-hosted REST API for WhatsApp automation. It manages instances, sends all message types (text, media, polls, buttons, lists, status updates, voice notes), handles group administration, and integrates with multiple chatbot platforms and CRM tools. Supports six event transports and S3-compatible media storage.
Provides a single REST API surface for the full WhatsApp feature set plus built-in chatbot orchestration, eliminating the need to wire together separate messaging SDKs and bot frameworks.
When to use it
- Broadcasting promotional messages to a validated contact list
- Routing inbound WhatsApp chats to human agents via Chatwoot
- Triggering order status notifications from an e-commerce backend
- Building a keyword-triggered support bot using Typebot or OpenAI
- Syncing WhatsApp group activity to an N8N automation workflow

- 3POST /typebot/create/{instance} with triggerType all and the Typebot flow URL and ID
- 4POST /chatwoot/set/{instance} with account credentials, importContacts: true, and autoCreate: true
- 5Verify connection with GET /instance/connectionState/{instance}
