Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Creates autonomous AI agents with self-contained workspaces and manages Discord channels for the OpenClaw platform. Each agent gets a SOUL.md for personality, HEARTBEAT.md for cron logic, and a memory directory. Agents can be bound to Discord channels and coordinated programmatically via session tools.
Automates the full agent scaffolding process, including workspace creation, gateway config updates, and Discord channel binding, in a single script instead of manual step-by-step setup.
When to use it
- Setting up a dedicated research agent bound to a Discord channel
- Creating a health tracking agent with scheduled daily memory summaries
- Renaming a Discord channel and updating all workspace file references automatically
- Spawning a background image generation agent for long-running creative tasks
- Building a multi-agent team where a main agent delegates work to specialists
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Create a research agent called Watson bound to Discord channel 1234567890
- 1Run create-agent.sh with name, id, emoji, specialty, model, workspace, and discord-channel arguments
- 2Script creates workspace directory with memory subdirectory
- 3Generates SOUL.md and HEARTBEAT.md from the provided parameters
- 4Updates gateway config to register the agent and add the Discord channel binding
- 5Restarts gateway to apply changes
Watson agent is live, bound to Discord channel 1234567890, with workspace and memory system initialized
