What This Skill Does
Hiking route guidance agent that operates through Telegram. Users send location messages to get real-time off-route detection and directional guidance from imported GPX/KML routes. Also handles route discovery on 2bulu, weather alerts via Open-Meteo, and overnight trip safety and gear checklists.
All route geometry is calculated deterministically, so LLM calls are minimal, making frequent location checks during a hike cheap to run.
When to use it
- Checking if you've drifted off a trail mid-hike
- Getting direction guidance by sending your GPS location in Telegram
- Finding public hiking tracks on 2bulu without logging in
- Generating a gear list before an overnight hike
- Receiving weather change alerts during a summit or trail run
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User sends a GPX file via Telegram, then sends their current location
- 1Parse GPX file and build a simplified RoutePack with bbox and endpoints
- 2Bind the route to the chat session with a routeId
- 3Receive the user's Telegram location message
- 4Run deterministic off-route distance calculation against the stored polyline
- 5Return a 2-line guide protocol response with bearing and distance to route
Two-line reply showing whether the user is on-route and the direction to return to the trail
