Wraps the Perplexity API so your agent can search the web and get back answers with citations. Instead of raw search results, you get a direct response with source links. Supports batching multiple queries into one API call.
When to use it
- Looking up recent events or news that happened after the model's training cutoff
- Fact-checking a claim by getting an answer with cited sources
- Checking current pricing, availability, or specs for a product
- Researching a topic where you need several questions answered at once
- Getting a quick summary of a technical topic with references
