What This Skill Does
Looks up places and addresses using free-form text or structured address components via the Camino AI API. Returns coordinates, formatted addresses, and optional street-level photos. Supports both landmark lookup and precise geocoding.
Combines free-form and structured address lookup in a single endpoint, returning coordinates and optional street imagery without requiring a separate geocoding service.
When to use it
- Geocoding a mailing address to lat/lon coordinates
- Finding coordinates for a landmark like the Eiffel Tower
- Retrieving street-level photos of a specific location
- Looking up places by postal code or city
- Converting structured address fields into a mappable location
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: 'Get the coordinates and a street photo for the Statue of Liberty'
- 1Calls the Camino /search API with query 'Statue of Liberty' and include_photos set to true
- 2API returns a result array with lat, lon, display_name, and a photos array
- 3Agent extracts lat/lon coordinates from the first result
- 4Agent extracts the photo URL from the photos array
- 5Returns coordinates and photo URL to the user
Coordinates 40.6892, -74.0445 with a street-level photo URL and full display name
