What This Skill Does

Calculates the spatial relationship between two geographic coordinates, returning distance, bearing, travel time estimates, and a plain-language description. Part of the Camino AI location intelligence suite.

Returns distance, direction, and multi-mode travel time in a single API call instead of requiring separate geocoding and routing requests.

When to use it

  • Checking if a delivery address is within a service radius
  • Estimating walking time between a hotel and a venue
  • Finding out which direction a second office is from headquarters
  • Generating distance summaries for a property listing
  • Comparing drive vs. bike time for two candidate locations

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: How far is it from the Empire State Building to Central Park, and how long would it take to walk?

AGENT
  1. 1Identify coordinates for both locations
  2. 2Send POST request to api.getcamino.ai/relationship with start and end lat/lon
  3. 3Request distance, travel_time, and description in the include array
  4. 4Parse response for walking_minutes and human-readable description
OUTPUT

Central Park is 3.4 km northwest of the Empire State Building, about 42 minutes on foot.
