Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Configures and operates the OpenClaw side of a Rails Agent Gateway integration. Pulls briefing data from a Rails app's `/agent-gateway/:secret/briefing` endpoint using two-layer authentication. Handles env var validation, connectivity testing, and scheduled data pulls.
Pairing this with the agent_gateway gem gives a read-only, token-secured data pull path without exposing a full API or admin credentials.
When to use it
- Pull a 7-day user and order summary from a Rails app
- Validate gateway token setup before running automated reports
- Schedule recurring briefing fetches via cron
- Diagnose 401/404 auth failures on the gateway endpoint
- Generate aggregated resource counts for a reporting workflow
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Pull a 30-day briefing for users and orders from my Rails app
- 1Check that AGENT_GATEWAY_TOKEN, AGENT_GATEWAY_SECRET, and RAILS_GATEWAY_URL are set
- 2Validate connectivity with a minimal fetch (--resources users --period 1d --latest 1)
- 3Run full pull: --period 30d --resources users,orders
- 4Parse response for counts, aggregations, and latest records
- 5Return summarized results with secrets redacted from output
Summary of user and order counts, aggregations, and latest rows for the past 30 days
