Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
A command-line tool for logging garden pests and diseases, recording treatments applied, and tracking whether those treatments worked. Stores all data locally in a JSON file under ~/.openclaw/workspace/.
Keeps a persistent, searchable treatment history so you can compare what worked across seasons rather than relying on memory or scattered notes.
When to use it
- Logging an aphid outbreak on tomatoes with severity level
- Getting organic treatment options for powdery mildew on squash
- Recording which fungicide was applied and when
- Searching past issues by plant name to find recurring problems
- Exporting the season's pest history for review
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: I found early blight on my tomatoes, what should I do and how do I track it?
- 1Run pest_tracker.py add --type disease --name 'early blight' --plants 'tomatoes' --severity 'critical'
- 2Run pest_tracker.py recommend 'early blight' to get treatment options
- 3Present options: copper fungicide, remove affected leaves, improve air circulation, avoid overhead watering
- 4Run pest_tracker.py treat <id> --method 'remove' --product 'copper fungicide' --notes 'Applied fungicide, removed worst leaves'
- 5Run pest_tracker.py show <id> to confirm the treatment was recorded
Problem logged with severity 'critical', treatment recorded with date and method, ready to monitor effectiveness over follow-up visits
