What This Skill Does
A local-first research library for hardware projects, storing code, PDFs, CAD files, images, and schematics in a SQLite database. Text extraction runs asynchronously so searches stay fast. Projects are isolated from each other, with cross-referencing available between them.
Keeps all hardware research local and searchable without requiring a cloud service, and ranks your own work above external references in search results.
When to use it
- Finding prior servo tuning notes before starting a new robotics project
- Storing and searching Arduino sketches alongside reference PDFs
- Linking a calibration document to multiple hardware projects that use it
- Backing up and restoring a full hardware knowledge base
- Exporting project documentation as Markdown for sharing
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: find everything I know about servo tuning for my RC quadcopter project
- 1Call reslib search 'servo tuning' with --project rc-quadcopter filter
- 2Retrieve ranked results with confidence scores and material-type weighting
- 3Fetch full details for top matches using reslib get
- 4Check linked documents via cross-references for related knowledge
- 5Return consolidated findings with source file paths
A ranked list of matching documents, showing prior code, PDFs, and notes with confidence scores and links to related items
