Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
Version History
- Added system and environment variable requirements for better deployment support. - Introduced a "System Requirements" section specifying that "tar" must be available on PATH. - Added a new "Environment Variables" section documenting AGENTSCALE_API_URL and its security implications. - Declared "tar" under required_tools for clearer tool prerequisites.
What This Skill Does
Deploys web apps and APIs to a public URL from the current directory using a single command. Supports Node.js, Python, and Go projects with auto-detection. Free deploys expire after one hour; adding credits makes them permanent.
No config files or platform accounts are required to get a public URL, unlike most deployment services.
When to use it
- Sharing a local API with a teammate for quick testing
- Hosting a prototype at a public URL for a client demo
- Deploying a Python script as a live HTTP endpoint
- Giving an AI agent a public callback URL
- Testing a Node.js service outside of localhost
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: deploy my Node.js API to a public URL
- 1Run `npx agentscale register` to generate and save an API key
- 2Navigate to the project directory containing package.json with a start script
- 3Run `npx agentscale deploy` to package and upload the project
- 4Wait for deployment confirmation and receive the public URL
- 5Run `npx agentscale list` to verify the service is live
A public URL serving the Node.js API, active for one hour on the free tier
