Version History
Major update: flexible date search (--flex), filters (nonstop, max-price, depart-after, arrive-before), connection quality scoring, price tracking with alerts, route watching for regular commutes. Breaking: renamed commute.py to watch-route.py for general use.
What This Skill Does
Searches Google Flights for prices and availability using two modes: a fast script-based lookup for price trends, and browser automation for full flight details including airlines, times, and stops.
The dual-mode design lets you get a quick price sanity check in seconds without launching a browser, then switch to full detail only when needed.
When to use it
- Checking if flights to a destination are cheap this week
- Getting a price range before committing to travel dates
- Finding all airlines and nonstop options on a specific route
- Comparing morning vs evening departure times
- Searching round-trip fares for multiple passengers
