What This Skill Does
Runs web searches through the Bailian (Alibaba ModelStudio) API and returns clean, multi-source results formatted for LLM consumption. Takes a query string and optional result count, then calls the Bailian WebSearch API via a shell script.
Returns pre-cleaned, LLM-ready content instead of raw HTML, reducing the parsing work an agent needs to do.
When to use it
- Fetching current news for an AI agent to summarize
- Grounding LLM responses with live web data
- Retrieving up-to-date pricing or product info
- Looking up recent events beyond a model's training cutoff
- Pulling multi-source results for research tasks
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: "What are the latest AI model releases this week?"
- 1Passes the query to mcp-websearch.sh with a result count of 10
- 2Script sends the query to the Bailian WebSearch API using DASHSCOPE_API_KEY
- 3API returns multi-source search results in structured format
- 4Agent receives clean text snippets ready for summarization
