Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Dnote is a CLI tool for managing a personal knowledge base organized into named books. Notes can be added manually, piped from command output, searched with full-text queries, and optionally synced across devices via the Dnote server.
Unlike plain text files or browser bookmarks, Dnote indexes all note content for full-text search and organizes entries into books without requiring any folder structure.
When to use it
- Saving shell one-liners and commands for later lookup
- Capturing git or docker snippets while working
- Full-text searching across all saved notes
- Building a daily journal with timestamped entries
- Exporting a book's notes as JSON for processing
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: save this docker command and find it later: 'docker system prune -af'
- 1Add the command to the docker book: add docker 'docker system prune -af'
- 2Confirm the note was saved by viewing recent notes: recent 5
- 3Later, search for the note by keyword: find 'prune'
- 4Retrieve the full note content by book and index: get docker 1
Note saved to 'docker' book and retrieved via full-text search returning 'docker system prune -af'
