Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Smart Cron lets you schedule OpenClaw tasks using plain English instead of cron syntax. It handles the full job lifecycle: add, list, pause, resume, and remove. All data stays local in SQLite with no external services required.
Natural language parsing removes the need to memorize or look up cron syntax for routine scheduling tasks.
When to use it
- Schedule a daily email summary every weekday morning
- Run server health checks every 5 minutes
- Generate a weekly work report every Friday at 5pm
- Send a monthly cleanup job on the 1st of each month
- Set timezone-aware reminders for recurring standups
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: schedule a daily standup reminder every weekday at 9am in Europe/Bucharest timezone
- 1Parse 'every weekday at 9am' into cron expression 0 9 * * 1-5
- 2Apply Europe/Bucharest timezone offset
- 3Register the job with the task string 'daily standup reminder'
- 4Confirm the next scheduled run time
- 5Store job config to ~/.openclaw/workspace/smart-cron-data/
Job created. Next run: Monday 09:00 EET (07:00 UTC). Run 'smart-cron list' to see all jobs.
