What This Skill Does

Generates and manipulates office documents in PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX formats using Python libraries. Covers creating documents from scratch, reading existing files, merging or splitting PDFs, adding charts and tables, and exporting data to spreadsheets.

Handles all four major office formats in one skill rather than requiring separate tools or manual document assembly.

When to use it

  • Export database query results to a formatted Excel file
  • Generate a monthly report as a Word document with tables
  • Build a PowerPoint deck from structured data
  • Merge multiple PDFs into a single file
  • Extract text from an existing PDF for processing
