Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
Version History
- Metadata section added at the top with structured details on environment variables, permissions, dependencies, and trusted domains. - Visual security notice and checklist for credential and workspace verification introduced. - Clear guidance on credential management, rotation, scoping, and monitoring with dedicated best practices section. - No core functionality changes; documentation and security posture strengthened. - All previous setup, usage, and troubleshooting instructions remain and are reorganized/clarified.
What This Skill Does
The Bolta Skills Registry is the index and orchestration layer for all skills in the Bolta platform. It queries workspace configuration, principal permissions, and quota usage to return a filtered list of which skills are available and recommended for the current context. It does not create content or execute operations directly.
Instead of manually cross-referencing role, quota, and autonomy mode constraints for each skill, the registry applies all compatibility rules in one call and returns only the skills that will actually work in the current workspace state.
When to use it
- Finding which skills to install when setting up a new Bolta workspace
- Checking why a specific skill is blocked due to role or permission mismatch
- Getting a tailored skill bundle for assisted, managed, or autopilot autonomy mode
- Diagnosing incompatible workspace configurations before running automation
- Reviewing quota status to understand which content-creation skills are currently available
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: What skills should I install for my managed-mode workspace?
- 1Fetches workspace config to read safe_mode, autonomy_mode, and quota limits
- 2Identifies principal type, role, and agent permissions
- 3Checks whether a voice profile exists and its version
- 4Applies decision matrix rules to filter incompatible or unauthorized skills
- 5Returns recommended skill list with excluded skills and reasons
A structured response listing recommended skills (e.g., bolta.draft.post, bolta.cron.generate_to_review), excluded skills with reasons, quota warnings, and suggested next steps
