Version History
Removed x402 payment integration to resolve security scanner false positive. Core S3 storage functionality only.
What This Skill Does
Hippius provides decentralized cloud storage on Bittensor Subnet 75, accessible via an S3-compatible API at s3.hippius.com. Files are stored and retrieved using standard S3 tooling like the AWS CLI or boto3, pointed at the Hippius endpoint with credentials from the Hippius console.
Existing S3 tooling works without modification — just swap the endpoint and credentials, so there is no new SDK to learn.
When to use it
- Upload project build artifacts to decentralized storage
- Sync a local directory to a Hippius bucket for backup
- List and audit files stored across Hippius buckets
- Query account storage credits on the Bittensor blockchain
- Download files from Hippius buckets in Python scripts
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: upload my ./dist folder to my Hippius bucket named my-app
- 1Confirm HIPPIUS_S3_ACCESS_KEY and HIPPIUS_S3_SECRET_KEY are set in the environment
- 2Run aws s3 sync with --endpoint-url https://s3.hippius.com and --region decentralized targeting s3://my-app/dist/
- 3Report the number of files uploaded and any errors
All files from ./dist synced to s3://my-app/dist/ on Hippius
