Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Moves yesterday's Obsidian daily note into a past-days/ archive folder on a nightly schedule. Uses the Obsidian CLI move command so internal wiki-links update automatically. Safe to run multiple times — skips if the note is already archived or missing.
Using obsidian move instead of a raw file rename keeps all wiki-links pointing to the correct location without manual link repair.
When to use it
- Keeping the vault root uncluttered after each day
- Auto-archiving notes without breaking backlinks
- Running a midnight cron to file notes before morning review
- Maintaining a browsable past-days/ history in Obsidian
- Replacing a manual drag-and-drop filing habit
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Move yesterday's daily note to the archive folder
- 1Calculates yesterday's date and constructs the expected filename in MM-DD-YYYY DayOfWeek.md format
- 2Checks if the note exists at the vault root
- 3Verifies the note is not already in past-days/
- 4Runs obsidian move to relocate the file and update all internal links
Note moved to past-days/03-13-2026 Thursday.md with all wiki-links updated; silent skip if already archived
