What This Skill Does
Cryptographic identity system for AI agents using Ed25519 or RSA key pairs. Lets agents sign messages, verify signatures, and generate persistent agent IDs or signed Agent Cards for A2A/MCP protocols.
Gives agents a verifiable, portable identity without relying on a central auth server or shared secrets.
When to use it
- Proving a message came from a specific agent in a multi-agent pipeline
- Generating a signed Agent Card for A2A or MCP registration
- Verifying another agent's identity before acting on its instructions
- Creating a persistent agent ID tied to a public key
- Bootstrapping agent authentication in automated workflows
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: sign a message as MyAgent and produce a verifiable signature
- 1Generate Ed25519 key pair with a password-encrypted private key
- 2Store public and private key files in the keys/ directory
- 3Sign the target message using the private key via identity.py or the PowerShell wrapper
- 4Output the base64-encoded signature alongside the agent's public key path
- 5Verify the signature against the original message using the public key
Base64 signature string that any party can verify using the agent's public key
