Version History

v1.1.2Feb 4, 2026 - Version note by skill developer:

Rebranded to OpenClaw

What This Skill Does

Fetches the crypto Fear & Greed Index from the Strykr PRISM API and renders it as terminal output, JSON, or an embeddable widget. Supports React components, plain HTML script tags, and iframes with configurable auto-refresh. No API key required.

Requires no API key and ships pre-built React and HTML components, so there is no data-fetching or visualization code to write.

When to use it

  • Checking market sentiment before entering or exiting a crypto position
  • Embedding a live sentiment gauge in a portfolio tracking app
  • Pulling index data as JSON for an automated trading bot decision
  • Adding a market mood widget to a crypto blog or newsletter
  • Displaying daily sentiment scores in a self-hosted dashboard

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: What is the current crypto Fear & Greed value?

AGENT
  1. 1Run ./fear-greed.sh --json to fetch current index from Strykr PRISM
  2. 2Parse the JSON response for the value, label, and timestamp fields
  3. 3Map the numeric value to the corresponding sentiment range (e.g. 56-75 = Greed)
  4. 4Return the value, label, and last-updated time to the user
OUTPUT

{"value": 72, "label": "Greed", "timestamp": "2026-01-28T13:15:00Z"}
