Add proxy transparency docs, token persistence across sessions, self-hosting instructions, and krocli CLI alternative
What This Skill Does
Searches grocery products, finds nearby store locations, and manages cart and profile across Kroger-family stores including Ralphs, Fred Meyer, Harris Teeter, King Soopers, and more. Authentication is handled through a hosted OAuth proxy, so no API keys or developer accounts are required for standard use.
The hosted OAuth proxy handles Kroger API credentials automatically, so users can access live product data and cart management without registering a developer account.
When to use it
- Checking local prices on organic produce at the nearest Kroger
- Finding King Soopers store hours near a specific ZIP code
- Adding items from a recipe to your Kroger cart
- Comparing sale prices across product categories
- Looking up your Kroger account profile details
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Add bananas to my Kroger cart
- 1Check memory for a saved Kroger refresh token and request a new access token if found
- 2Start browser login flow if no saved token exists and poll for user token after login
- 3Search the products API for 'bananas' using the client token to retrieve UPCs and descriptions
- 4Present matching results to the user for confirmation
- 5Call PUT /cart/add with the confirmed UPC and quantity 1
Bananas added to the user's Kroger cart (HTTP 204 response confirms success)
