What This Skill Does
GSD (Get Shit Done) is a full project planning and execution workflow. It covers deep context gathering, domain research with 4 parallel agents, requirements scoping, roadmap creation, phase planning, wave-based execution, and goal-backward verification. Uses an orchestrator and subagent pattern to keep context lean across each stage.
It covers the full project lifecycle in one skill rather than requiring separate tools for research, planning, and execution.
When to use it
- Initializing a new software project from idea to structured roadmap
- Planning and executing a specific development phase with automated research
- Debugging a broken feature with persistent state across context resets
- Running a quick ad-hoc task without full planning ceremony
- Resuming a paused project mid-phase with full context restored
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: /gsd new-project - build a task management CLI tool
- 1Ask deep questions to gather project context and goals
- 2Spawn 4 parallel researchers to investigate stack, features, architecture, and pitfalls
- 3Synthesize research into a cohesive summary
- 4Define v1 scope through feature selection and requirements definition
- 5Create a phase-based roadmap derived from requirements
