What This Skill Does
Grove CLI sends cryptocurrency micro-tips to content creators as quality signals. Tips target domains, ENS names, Twitter handles, Substack profiles, or Ethereum addresses. Agents can use JSON output on every command for automated tipping workflows.
Every command supports a --json flag, making Grove drop-in usable in agent pipelines without custom API integration.
When to use it
- Tipping a blog author after reading a useful tutorial
- Agent automatically tipping sources it references during research
- Checking whether a domain or Twitter handle can receive tips before sending
- Batch-tipping multiple creators from a CSV file
- Auto-funding a wallet when USDC balance drops below a threshold
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: tip the author of olshansky.info 0.05 USDC for a clear implementation guide
- 1Run `grove check olshansky.info` to verify the destination can receive tips
- 2Run `grove balance --json` to confirm sufficient USDC balance
- 3Run `grove tip olshansky.info 0.05 --json` to send the tip
- 4Log the URL, destination, amount, and rationale to a local tip log
0.05 USDC sent to olshansky.info; tip metadata recorded with rationale and topic tags
