What This Skill Does

Command-line interface for Google Workspace services including Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Contacts, Sheets, and Docs. Requires a one-time OAuth setup with a Google Cloud client secret. Supports scripting with JSON output and stdin piping.

Replaces fragile browser automation or custom OAuth code with a single binary that covers all major Google Workspace APIs from the terminal.

When to use it

  • Search inbox and read email bodies from a script
  • Create and update calendar events with color coding
  • Read and write Google Sheets data in automation pipelines
  • Download Gmail attachments to local paths
  • Export Google Docs to plain text for processing

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

AGENT
  1. 1Run `gog gmail messages search 'in:inbox from:ryanair.com newer_than:7d' --max 20 --json` to list matching messages
  2. 2Parse message IDs from the JSON output
  3. 3For each message, run `gog gmail get <MESSAGE_ID> --json` to retrieve attachment metadata
  4. 4Run `gog gmail attachment <messageId> <attachmentId> --out /tmp/ryanair/` for each attachment found
OUTPUT
